After captivity in Madrid, owl twins learn to live on the wild side

MADRID, Oct 10 (Reuters) – Two twin eagle owls have been released into the Madrid countryside after being born in captivity in the city zoo and undergoing months of training.The release, which took place in the town of Villamantilla, 40 kilometres west of Madrid, is part of a Madrid zoo breeding program of night birds of prey including eagle owls and barn owls.
